Why do women have to "get to know" the person to like him? What ever happened to "Love at first sight?"?

Maybe because so many guys know how to look pleasing to a girl and then later has way too many problems. Girls still have the love at first sight thing, but with all the guys out there who could really care less about them, what girl wouldn't really want to get to know the guy? Plus, it's partly one of those fairytale things. Some people experience it, some people don't. And personally, I don't think it makes girls boring at all. There's a lot of guys out there who don't believe in it either, and a lot of guys who don't know how to be romantic at all. But not all of them are that way, and not all girls are boring just because they don't have love at first sight.
