Spanish question (WQ)?

No I'm not in the wrong category :P We're learning spanish at school, and yesterday teacher told us that "guerrero" means "warrior". Is that true?? OMG I feel like such a n00b for calling myself an Eddie fan (RIP) and not knowing that. But also, if it IS true, do you think having that surname was some sort of motivation for Los Guerrero to start wrestling on the first place?? I mean not much wrestlers use their real names on the ring. (other than goldberg)
